If you’re renting bikes on Hilton Head, stop what you’re doing and go straight to Salty’s Bike Rental—seriously, don’t even bother looking anywhere else. My friends and I rented bikes (complete with baskets and helmets), and the entire experience was flawless from start to finish. The staff was absolutely incredible—friendly, responsive, and crystal clear with communication. Everything was ready exactly when we needed it, which made the whole process effortless and stress-free. The bikes themselves were in great condition, super comfortable, and perfect for cruising around the island. Pricing was actually better than several places closer to Palmetto Dunes, which was a huge bonus for the quality we got. Yes, it’s a smaller shop and a tiny bit off the beaten path—but honestly, that’s part of what makes it so great. It feels personal, well-run, and genuinely focused on customer service. Plus, there’s convenient parking in the back, and I was able to leave my car there while we were out riding, which made everything even easier. Top-notch organization, top-tier service, and an overall fantastic experience. I would rent from them again in an instant.

Linda was incredibly friendly and helpful, making the entire process a breeze. They were also remarkably punctual, letting us pick up the bikes and store them at their shop since our hotel was pretty far, which is always a huge plus when you're eager to get out and explore. We needed to make more than one change in our bicycle order which involved more deliveries and exchanging bikes. Each time I called, the customer service was top notch. This wonderful service was also always prompt. I highly recommend this business for bike rentals!

Wonderful experience. Price was right and the staff were very helpful and timely. The bikes could use a bit of an upgrade, but honestly, most HH bikes look a bit beat up. Salty's is the best!
